We are proud to announce that Somerset Passenger Solutions have won the GOLD award for Best Local/Regional Supplier at the 2019 Hinkley Point C (HPC) Excellence Awards. Representatives from several teams at SPS attended the awards ceremony on 27th November.
Following two rounds of judging, the first taking place at a showcase event at the HPC Site, and a second at Somerset County Cricket Club in Taunton, SPS was chosen as the Gold winner for this category based on our consistently excellent performance over the last year for our all-encompassing transport solution.
SPS provides a bespoke transport solution for the HPC Project, carrying workers to and from their place of work on the HPC Site from their homes, which range from Bristol to Minehead and everywhere in between. SPS operates a fleet of over 120 new buses and coaches. We carry out more than 5000 passenger journeys a day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The HPC Excellence Awards are open to all businesses working on, or for the HPC Project. We beat tough competition from many great companies.
This award rounds off an excellent year for SPS as the business continues to grow. We are well positioned to expand next year as more workers join the HPC Project and transport demands increase, and we hope to exceed the expectations of our client once again in 2020.
