Examples of our collaborations
Notable achievements include Somerset Passenger Solutions (now Specialist Transport Solutions), a joint venture with First Group PLC to deliver mass worker movement services for Europe’s largest construction site, Hinkley Point C. What started as a five-bus operation rapidly expanded to a 200-coach organisation under the leadership of our Chairman, Jonathan Jones-Pratt, which First Group purchased outright in 2021.
We also collaborated with China-based Yutong Coaches, who wanted to enter the UK market, by introducing them to Chinese company CGM which owned 33% of Hinkley Point C. This resulted in Yutong Coaches securing one of the UK’s biggest bus contracts at the time, enabling them to bring their vehicles into this country.
We are currently working with a hydrogen-driven lorry and bus manufacturer to develop their EV strategy for the UK market.
